Job Summary– The Director of Retail will play a pivotal role in driving the success of MetroLagoons' retail operations. This position involves frequent travel to our Lagoon sites to maintain consistency in product offerings and enhance the customer experience. The role focuses on growing the LagoonLife brand as a valuable intellectual property through strategic product development and branding efforts. Additionally, the Director will oversee both online and on-site sales, including cross-promotions with our Food & Beverage (F&B) outlets.

Responsibilities Includes:

  • Brainstorm and develop innovative products that align with the MetroLagoons and LagoonLife brands; while ensuring they meet customer expectations.
  • Identify and establish relationships with suppliers to source high-quality products at competitive prices.
  •  Develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive.
  • Leveraging KPIs to monitor operational performance and inform decision-making
  • Ensure that products are displayed in an attractive and consistent manner across all Lagoon sites.
  • Drive sales performance across online platforms and on-premise locations through effective merchandising, promotional activities, and staff training. Oversee cross-sales initiatives at F&B locations to boost overall revenue.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Oversee daily sales and inventory reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Build and strengthen the MetroLagoons LagoonLife brand as a valued intellectual property through strategic branding and product initiatives.
  • Regularly visit Lagoon sites to assess retail performance, provide support, and ensure brand consistency.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in retail management, preferably in a corporate or multi-location setting.
  • Strong skills in product development, buying, and merchandising.
  • Experience with online sales platforms and cross-sales strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to various Lagoon sites.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends as needed.
