JOB SUMMARY: MetroLagoons is currently seeking a Full-Time Group Sales Coordinator to promote and facilitate group experiences at its stunning blue lagoons. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Contact Center, the Group Sales Coordinator will play a critical role in driving group sales revenue and enhancing the overall guest experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Respond promptly to inbound leads, inquiries and requests related to group visits and outings.
- Engage with prospective customers through various channels, including email, phone and online platforms.
- Provide detailed information and assist leads in navigating the best options for their group.
Group Sales Coordination:
- Work closely with group organizers to understand their event needs and preferences.
- Customize and present tailored options to meet the requirements of different events, such as corporate outings, field trips, parties and social gatherings.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of group events, including dedicated spaces, catering and other amenities.
- Provide on-site support during select events, assisting with various needs to ensure client satisfaction.
Customer Engagement:
- Act as a brand ambassador and subject matter expert, promoting the many advantages of choosing Metro Lagoons.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1-2 years sales and service experience in a high-volume environment.
- Experience in ticket sales (e.g., sports or venue), hotel sales, event planning or a related field.
- Outgoing personality with excellent people skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills. Strong communication skills, including written and verbal.
- Highly organized with ability to multitask.
- Adaptability to the fluctuating needs of the operation.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft platforms. (Experience with CRM systems, such as HubSpot, a plus.)
- Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends as events occasionally require.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel to lagoon locations as occasionally required. (The Tampa-based office will serve as the primary work location, with the lagoons located in Wesley Chapel, San Antonio, Wimauma and N. Fort Myers, FL.)
