Water Quality Supervisor  (equivalent of Foreman)

MetroLagoons is growing fast, and we’re looking for motivated leaders who want to grow with us. This role is ideal for someone with aquatics experience who’s ready to take the next step into leadership while staying hands-on in the field.

You’ll help lead the Water Quality team to keep the lagoon clean, safe, and ready for guests every day.

The Role

The Water Quality Supervisor works closely with the Water Quality Manager to ensure water quality standards, safety procedures, and daily operations are followed. This is an active, outdoor role that spends most of the day in or around the water supporting the team.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

·        Provide daily direction to front-line Water Quality team members

·        Ensure all policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed

·        Create and manage weekly schedules for the Water Quality team

·        Step in to support the team during busy periods and special events

Water Quality & Maintenance

·        Help maintain lagoon water chemistry, filtration, flow, and sanitation

·        Assist with troubleshooting pumps, filters, circulation systems, feeders, and sanitation equipment

·        Support daily, weekly, and preventative maintenance routines

·        Help develop and maintain maintenance procedures and checklists

Operations & Safety

·        Assist with inventory tracking for chemicals, supplies, and equipment

·        Work with vendors involved in lagoon cleaning and maintenance

·        Prepare incident and accident reports and submit them to leadership

·        Respond calmly and effectively to operational and safety issues

Support & Flexibility

·        Assist with special event preparation as needed

·        Perform additional duties as assigned by lagoon leadership

What We’re Looking For

·        High school diploma or equivalent required

·        Associate degree preferred

·        1+ year of experience in aquatics or water quality operations

·        1+ year of supervisory or lead experience

·        Experience handling pool chemicals and cleaning practices preferred

·        Able to swim and work in the water for extended periods

·        Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

·        Able to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently lift up to 30 lbs

·        Strong leadership and communication skills

·        Able to follow procedures, adapt to change, and work within labor and budget guidelines

·        Calm and effective in emergency situations

·        Available to work weekends and holidays

·        Candidates must be able to pass a drug/background screening

Schedule & Availability

·        Flexible schedule based on operational needs

·        Weekends and holidays required as needed

·        Both weekend days required during peak season
